A12-prototype of SR71 by orcamistress101 A12-prototype of SR71 by orcamistress101
This is at the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History and Science-Aeronautics Department. This was originally a prototype of the surveilance aircraft the SR71 Blackbird. This aircraft was converted into a trainer aircraft once the second, higher cockpit was added, one for the instructor and one for the student. This and all the other pictures from the museum were taken with my new fujifilm digital camera.

I think this is one of only 2 two seat SR71s. This is at a science center/museum in Los Angeles.

There's a single seat SR71 in Palmdale CA at the Black Bird Airpark.

Ah, I didn't know if Blackbird has single seat. That's very good info :)

I believe it is, but I could be wrong. It could be that it indeed has a 2-man crew. I'm no expert on older planes, but I'm learning.

If plans are called for in the vicinity, and time is available, I certainly shall :)
